Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience designing digital products, with a track record of successfully launched work.
  • Advanced hands-on proficiency with Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, variables, and interactive prototyping.
  • Proven ability to create, evolve, and maintain scalable design systems covering design tokens, reusable components, states, spacing standards, and typography scales.
  • Experience keeping design systems aligned with coded component libraries and documentation environments such as Storybook.
  • Strong command of core visual and interaction design principles, including typography, layout, visual hierarchy, color, and user interactions.
  • Ability to consistently apply and expand established brand systems across digital products.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong product design capabilities alongside interfaces that have been implemented and released.
  • Practical experience developing user interfaces with React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, supported by shipped components, code samples, or repositories.
  • Strong knowledge of modern CSS techniques, responsive design, and utility-first styling approaches.
  • Familiarity with Next.js environments and Git-based development workflows.
  • Ability to work effectively across both product and marketing design initiatives.
  • Experience incorporating AI tools and large language models into design and development workflows.
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering techniques for ideation, interface generation, content creation, and code-related tasks.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted or AI-powered product experiences is highly valued.
  • Ability to stay current with evolving product design practices, frontend technologies, and modern tooling.
  • Experience creating email or newsletter designs, social media assets, or presentations is considered a plus.
  • Previous experience with B2B, marketplace, or SaaS products is considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with user research, usability testing, or A/B experimentation is considered a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
  • Minimum Upper Intermediate English (B2) or Proficient (C1).

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the complete product design lifecycle, from defining problems and mapping user journeys to wireframing, high-fidelity interface design, and final design quality assurance.
  • Create intuitive solutions for complex, information-rich experiences such as search and filtering tools, listings, comparison interfaces, dashboards, quoting processes, and checkout flows.
  • Convert business objectives and customer needs into clear, usable, and effective digital experiences.
  • Communicate design decisions to stakeholders using clear reasoning, product context, and supporting evidence.
  • Leverage analytics, session insights, and customer feedback to validate design choices and continuously improve experiences.
  • Develop production-ready interfaces and components using React and TypeScript.
  • Prototype, refine, and deliver interface components directly in code, reducing reliance on static design handoffs.
  • Create responsive experiences using modern CSS and Tailwind CSS patterns across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Implement purposeful motion and micro-interactions that reinforce usability and improve interface clarity.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to define component APIs, promote reusability, and evaluate implementation tradeoffs.
  • Produce marketing and brand materials alongside product initiatives, including newsletters, email templates, social media graphics, and campaign creative.
  • Support business and sales initiatives by designing presentations, one-pagers, proposals, and collateral for events and partnerships.
  • Maintain visual consistency across the Datacenters.com ecosystem and its five brands.
  • Develop reusable templates that allow recurring marketing and business assets to be produced efficiently.
  • Balance product and marketing design priorities according to their expected business impact.
  • Design experiences with performance considerations in mind, including perceived responsiveness, loading behavior, empty states, and error scenarios.
  • Conduct design QA on released functionality to ensure a high degree of visual and behavioral consistency.
  • Translate high-level direction from the Executive Team into actionable product and design solutions, quickly understanding strategic objectives and turning them into concrete proposals and deliverables with limited day-to-day guidance.
