Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in framework-less PHP development, including maintaining and evolving complex legacy monolithic applications.
- Advanced hands-on experience with raw SQL and MySQL 5.7 environments.
- Solid knowledge of Redis and Memcached.
- Extensive experience working with Vue across both modern and legacy implementations.
- Proficiency with Vue 3, Single File Components, Composition API, Pinia, and TypeScript.
- Ability to maintain frontend applications built with globally loaded Vue scripts, vanilla JavaScript, and jQuery-era code.
- Experience with modern frontend tooling based on Vite and established legacy pipelines involving SCSS and Gulp.
- Ability to work effectively within complex legacy architectures featuring file-based routing, multiple database access patterns, and tightly coupled components.
- Understanding of multi-tenant application architectures and the importance of maintaining strict tenant-level data isolation.
- Working knowledge of API contracts connecting modern frontend applications with legacy backend systems for authentication and data access.
- Experience safely maintaining legacy or customized third-party database libraries and sensitive areas of established codebases.
- Minimum Upper Intermediate English (B2) or Proficient (C1).
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Take technical ownership of safe and reliable changes across the client’s backend and frontend web stack.
- Lead technical decision-making across the legacy PHP monolith and the modern Vue-based dashboard.
- Deliver an initial production-ready bug fix as an early validation of the ability to work safely within the existing architecture.
- Establish disciplined development practices that reduce risk when modifying legacy PHP, database, and frontend code.
- Maintain compatibility between the modern dashboard and the monolith APIs used for authentication and application data.
- Safeguard tenant isolation and data integrity when implementing backend and database changes.
- Navigate and evolve legacy components while respecting areas of the application that are highly sensitive or restricted from modification.
- Support the coexistence of legacy frontend technologies and the modern Vue 3 application while guiding the platform’s technical evolution.
